Description
Your guided tour will be given by one of Hilo Coffee Mill's seasoned employees who has extensive knowledge in the building of the business, coffee farming, coffee processing, brewing, and tasting. And they love to share what they know. Your tour will begin at the main building, a beautiful plantation style design built in 2005. As you meander your way to the back coffee fields, they'll take you through what used to be an old sugarcane plantation and show you a hand-built water passage used to divert water from the heavy rains well known in this area. Next you'll head into the coffee fields, lush from the tropical climate known so well in Mountain View. See over 5 acres of coffee trees started from seed and nurtured for over 3 years before producing their first cup of coffee. Learn about planting, fertilizing and picking coffee, all of which are done by hand by local farm workers employed by Hilo Coffee Mill.
This experience includes a voucher for two.
